Collector & Artist Books
Collector & artist Books:
A tangible visual record
Personal collections of art or collectibles are especially rewarding when they appear in book form. A book is a series of sequential planes. Turning page by page the book showcases:
• works of art in various media
• cultural pieces or letters
• a collector’s assorted objects
The collection is important to you and it’s equally important to instill a love and respect for what you’ve collected.
A lasting record of your collection
-
- The book form adds a unique perspective for documenting and describing your collection and stories relating to it.
- A book about your collection allows you to share your collection with people who would not otherwise be able to see it and enjoy it.
- The book narrative can lend a historical context that documents a particular stage in the development of the collection and the collector’s experiences, or serve as a catalogue of the collection.
- A collector book provides a lasting record of your special collection that you and your family and friends can appreciate for years to come.
Artist books: Selected works or a complete retrospective
An artist book can present the works of established artists and emerging artists. What is often called a “coffee-table book” for its engaging visuals and size, a well-produced book helps promote and celebrate artistic talent and creativity, and becomes meaningful proof of what has been achieved.
We identify with artists and collectors
As a past director of Silver Buckle Press, a small working museum at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a past professor of art at Oregon State University, John understands art, artists, and the value of collecting. He appreciates the impact collections have on society and the discovery of what is of interest to the individual collector.
Among Bennett Book Design’s colleagues are studio photographers, writers, and editors. As your project may require, we will introduce you to these professionals and the services they provide.
Whether international, scholarly, antique, contemporary, pop culture, or simply collectible, we works with collectors and artists to present an interplay of text and images that highlights their original collections and love of collecting.
